The hardest part of explaining the concepts of gay, lesbian, and bisexual to the LF was the part where he immediately declared that he wanted to date his mom's ex-boyfriend, and I had to tell him that grown-ups don't date kids (but they can be friends and have fun, it's just not called dating).
